ワイナリーについて
1695年、ラフィットとラトゥールの領土は統合され、偉大なワイン造りの歴史の幕が開きました。その後歴史に翻弄されながらも1945年末にエリー男爵がCHラフィット・ロートシルトの所有権を取り戻し、その再生を手がけました。そしてエリック・ド・ロートシルト男爵が運営を引き継いだことで、再生が確かなものになり、急速に品質回復し、シャルル・シュヴァリエがディレクターになった1990年代半ばからはさらに飛躍的な向上を遂げています。敷地や葡萄畑が隣接していることから、CHラフィット・ロートシルトとCHデュアール・ミロンは1962年から同じチームが管理しています。両シャトーは厳格な収穫技術に基づき、手作業での収穫を実施。年間を通じて、定期的にメンテナンスを行っています。化学肥料はほとんど使わず、有機肥料もわずかのため、寿命の長い葡萄の木を育てることができる。樹齢80年を超えた株だけを引き抜いています。「ひらめき」と「驚き」の源であり続ける。ドメーヌ・バロン・ド・ロートシルトは、エリック男爵の情熱的なリーダーシップとそのチームメンバーのもとで、繁栄してきました。良質のワインを生み出すため、最良の土壌に熟練の技を注ぎ込もうと常に努力し続けています。ワインに対するこの情熱を、芸術家の眼を通して表現し、一流の芸術写真家たちもまた、ラフィットの真髄を浮き彫りにしようと、技と情熱を注いでいるのです。

On its plateau of mythical gravel, the men and women who work in its vines are only intermediaries. And for 150 years, with the arrival of Baron James, members of the same family, embodied today by Saskia de Rothschild, have been taking turns to pass on a single message: that of precision and resilience in the face of the tremendous blows that the heavens rain down on its lands. In this eternal new beginning, in this inconstancy of nature which has a different fate in store for it each year, Lafite remains upright, sensitive and subtle. It has the nature of the wise, unchangeable like its ever lasting gravels. 2021 - Decisions, DecisionsThis year more than ever, it was crucial to make the right decisions at the right time. At every step of the growing season, Nature challenged the teams of each estate and all the required decisions to overcome theses challenges were made collectively. Whether it was to overcome the frost, the capricious spring or to decide the harvest dates, each of these decisions shaped the profile of the wines of Domaines Barons de Rothschild in 2021: a vintage in which it was definitively impossible to cheat. To be noted: 2021 is the first vintage in conversion to Organic Farming for all the estates of Domaines Barons de Rothschild.Lafite Rothschild 2021, Back to the RootsThe video of the vintage: https://bit.ly/LafiteRothschild2021Romain Gary said that “renewal has always been first and foremosta return to the roots.” There couldn't have been a finer revelation this year, from what we know how to grow best on the mythical plateau of Lafite: great Cabernets. Freshness and density were already there, in a balancing act that we have grown used to from our great terroirs. This year, they are the ones who spoke their voice more clearly than ever. The dice were therefore loaded against the Merlots fromthe start, and they paled in comparison. A first wine with almost 100% Cabernet.
